Although Jonassen was born in Emerald, a small town in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, he spent much of his childhood in Rockhampton, a city located around 270 kilometres or 170 miles to the southwest. She completed her secondary education at Emmaus College in Rockhampton and received her diploma in the year 2009.
Jonassen began her career as a cricket player when she was around 10 or 11 years old, competing first for her school and then subsequently for Rockhampton Brothers.
At the time, there were no girls-only cricket programmes available in the rural areas of Queensland, so she had to play on males’ teams.
Jonassen advanced through the third grade and the second grade levels, and she eventually played a couple of A-grade games not long before she graduated school and relocated to Brisbane. Jonassen is now living in Brisbane. She was a member of the University of Queensland team while she was there.

Jess Jonassen is an Australian left-arm spinner who was born on November 5th, 1992 in the state of Queensland.
At a young age, Jess Jonassen demonstrated that she possessed a great deal of promise. In 2006-2007, she captained Queensland’s Under-15 girls’ team to their first-ever national championship, and she also won the award for Player of the Tournament.
