Harmanpreet Kaur: Early Life

Kaur was born on March 8th, 1989 in Moga, Punjab to her parents, Harmandar Singh Bhullar, a volleyball and basketball player, and Satwinder Kaur. Harmandar Singh Bhullar was Kaur’s father. Her mother and father are both baptised Sikhs.

Her younger sister, Hemjeet, holds a post-graduate degree in English and is currently employed as an assistant professor at Guru Nanak College in Moga.

She began playing cricket after enrolling in the Gian Jyoti School Academy, which was located approximately 30 kilometres (19 miles) away from her home in Moga.

There, she received instruction from Kamaldeesh Singh Sodhi. Earlier in her career, while Harman was still finding her footing, she frequently competed against male opponents.

In 2014, she made the trip to Mumbai and started working for the Indian Railways after she got there. Virender Sehwag served as a role model for Harmanpreet.

Her father, who is now employed as a clerk in a judicial court, had aspirations of being a professional cricketer in the past. When Harman initially started participating in the sport, he was the first coach she had.

In April of 2013, she was given the captaincy when Mithali Raj was given a rest for the limited-overs series against Bangladesh. T
