Dr. Hemlata Pant did her D.Phil. degree from University of Allahabad, Allahabad (U.P.). She is having seventeen years research and teaching experience in the field of Nematology, Post-harvest diseases of guava and their management by different plant extracts, yeast and mushroom cultivation techniques. She has published 63 research papers, 19 book chapters, 125 popular Hindi articles, one training manual, 6 pamphlets and 18 authored/edited books. Dr. Pant is fellow of seven reputed societies. She has been awarded Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bose Hindi Granth Lekhan Award from D.B.T. Govt. of India, New Delhi in the year 2015. She got 2nd consolation prizes on Hindi article writing competition from Hindi Vigyan Sahitya Parishad, BARC, Mumbai in the year, 2015, 2014, 2012 and 2016. She also got 31 Awards viz. Young Scientist Award, Distinguished Service Award Prayag Gaurav Award, Paryavaran Mitra Award and many others for the popularization of Science from different organizations. She is the editor of one research journal and one popular Hindi magazine. She is assistant editor, editorial board member and advisory board member of research journals and one magazine respectively. She has attended 35 National, 6 International seminars and 19 National workshops. She has delivered 16 T.V. and 19 Radio talks. She is life member of 14 scientific societies. She has organized three National Seminars and two seven days workshops. She has worked as convener, joint organizing secretary, coordinator, Advisory board member, National Scientific Committee members, Associate organizing secretary & reporter in various national & international seminars & workshop. She has served in the Panel of judges in regional & district scientific exhibitions. She has been delivered more than 200 invited talks on mushroom cultivation and organic farming in IFFCO (Allahabad), HETC (Allahabad) and National Horticulture Mission, Kaushambi. Presently, she is Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, CMP Degree College (A Constituent PG College of University of Allahabad) U.P., India.
